FAQ: All you need to know

1: What format of files do I need to provide?

2: What are your T&C’s?

1. Once an order is placed we cannot make changes, either to the content of a Flyer, card (other products we provide) or the quantity ordered.

 2. Errors as a result of faults in the information transmitted to us or faults with the supplied print files (layout issues, spelling errors, colour inaccuracy etc) or delays with the delivery schedule will exonerate us and leave the decision to refund or reprint at our discretion. Due to the nature of the product provided SJD Cards will not be able to cross-check dates. This information should be provided in writing or via email. Printing errors in terms of this will result in Full Charges being applied.

 3. Ensure all information provided is correct once the design has been finalised and the order process is started full charges will apply. No refund will be issued in terms of a spelling mistake, incorrect date, wrong names or address (this is not an exhaustive list see point 2). 

 4. We will offer you a refund of the full purchase price, including the cost of delivery for sending the goods to you, provided that within three working days of receiving the goods you return the goods to us and we deem the goods to have been received by you in a faulty condition originating from SJD Cards. We must also be reasonably satisfied that

4.1.1. the goods have not suffered damage after delivery;

4.1.2. the goods have not been misused or used other than in accordance with the instructions; and

4.1.3. the problem is not due to normal wear and tear.

 5. In addition to the requirements of paragraph 4, the goods in terms of which you are claiming a refund must have:

5.1.1. been damaged on delivery;

5.1.2. been delivered in a faulty condition;

5.1.3. have been delivered to you in error.
 6. All bespoke design work has to be reviewed by the client, once passed no corrections can be made after work has been confirmed by the client. 

 7. Delivery times can be up to 10 to 14 days after the design has been finalised and approved by the customer. No responsibility will be accepted for late delivery due to insufficient time due to the order date. It is recommended that orders be placed well in advance of the required date to avoid disappointment.  

3: How do I provide text files?

All text files need to be provided in Word or PDF format. We will not spell check or change grammar. Mistakes after proof is sent and agreed will result in full costs being charged. No refund will be provided. See T&C's above.

4: Proofs?

Proofs – Proofs of all work may be submitted for customer’s approval and SJD shall incur no liability for any errors not corrected by the customer in proofs so submitted. Additional charges shall be made for any additional proofs that are required as a result of alterations required by the customer. When style, type or layout is left to the printing.com reseller’s discretion, any subsequent changes to such style, type or layout required by the customer shall be subject to additional charges on a time and materials basis. The forgoing provisions relating to proofs applies to all types of proof provided to enable the customer to approve the content prior to printing taking place or digital media going live, proofs may take the form of hard copy, digital files or websites and applications viewed on-line.

5: Digital work including websites, website services and mobile applications


(a) Agreed projects will be set out in written project proposals that include (i) a payment schedule for the work and (ii) a specification, milestones and approximate delivery dates. Digital work is not provided on a Guaranteed Turnaround basis and SJD may adjust delivery dates for milestones and will keep the customer appraised of progress and any delays due to technical obstacles and / or resourcing limitations, any extension to delivery dates will not entitle the customer to a refund of payments already made.


(b) Any amendments to the specification set out in project proposals could result in additional costs to the customer, SJD will raise and discuss any additional costs and agree such terms with the customer before carrying out work on modifications to the specification.


(c) SJD will notify the customer when a milestone has been completed and / or raise an invoice as set out in the project proposal payment of which shall be acceptance and sign-off on work completed at that point.


(d) SJD will endeavour to ensure that web pages work in current and recent versions of preeminent web browsers (such as Firefox, Chrome, Explorer and Safari) at the time of undertaking the project. The customer acknowledges that technology is fast moving and the printing.com Reseller cannot give absolute assurance as to how web pages will look and work on any given browser or device released from time to time.


(e) The customer acknowledges and agrees that any content, graphics, visuals and the look and feel of any design, signage or other services shall, as between the customer and SJD, belong to SJD. Further, save as expressly granted under the contract with SJD, the customer shall have no right or licence whatsoever in or to the printing.com application:

4: Turn around times?

Our turnaround times apply to business days (Monday to Friday), excluding public holidays. Turnaround time begins when you pay for your order, or if necessary when you have confirmed your proof, via email, to our Artwork Team.

Orders must be confirmed and paid for by 12am, otherwise the first day of the turnaround time will be the following working day. Turnaround times quoted on our digital and physical publicity materials are not guaranteed unless we have supplied them to you in writing. 

When you order multiple items, the longest turnaround time associated with any item in the order will apply to the entire order.

Next day turn around or short notice turn around will be agreed on by SJD on request. This request can be refused. Additional costs will apply. Note that if SJD raises concerns and the client decides to pursue the order after warning, SJD will hold no liability for failure to deliver a short turnaround products. Warning will be provided on all short term turn around.
