These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Simon John Designs website and apply to all purchases made through this platform. By using this website or placing an order, you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to be bound by them.

1. General Information

Simon John Designs is a Northern Ireland-based design and print studio offering bespoke services including wedding stationery, business branding, signage, apparel printing, and more. All products and services are provided subject to availability and the terms below.

2. Placing an Order

To place an order on our website:

  • Browse and select your items

  • Add them to your cart

  • Enter billing/shipping details

  • Confirm the order and make payment

An email acknowledging your order will be sent. This is not confirmation of acceptance. A legally binding contract is formed only when full payment is received and we send confirmation of dispatch or written acceptance (for custom orders).

3. Eligibility to Purchase

To use this website and purchase goods, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Provide accurate personal and payment details

  • Use a valid debit or credit card

  • Provide a deliverable postal address (no PO Boxes or temporary addresses)

4. Product Availability & Description

We strive to ensure that all descriptions, imagery, and prices are accurate. However:

  • Slight variations in size, colour, and finish may occur due to printing processes or natural materials

  • We reserve the right to amend specifications without notice

  • Product availability is subject to change

All goods are designed for interior use only unless otherwise stated. It is your responsibility to ensure the product suits your intended purpose.

5. Design & Custom Orders

Custom design services (e.g. wedding stationery, banners, vinyl, signage, etc.) include:

  • Up to two revisions per item

  • Further amendments may incur an additional design fee

Design begins after payment is received.

Design fees are non-refundable once work has commenced, even if the order is later cancelled.

If you are unsatisfied with the final design, we may offer a product refund, but the design portion of the payment will be retained.

6. Printing Accuracy & File Submission

You are responsible for ensuring all artwork submitted:

  • Meets our technical specifications

  • Is formatted in CMYK colour mode

  • Includes appropriate bleeds and resolution

We may adjust artwork for compatibility but do not perform full proofing or corrections unless agreed.

Colour variation between screens, printers, and batches is standard and not considered a defect.

We recommend requesting a Fogra-certified proof if colour precision is critical.

7. Returns & Cancellations

7.1. Standard Products

Items may be returned within 28 days of delivery if they are:

  • Unused and in original packaging

  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

Return shipping is your responsibility and must be securely packaged. We recommend tracked delivery.

7.2. Custom Products

Due to their personalised nature, custom items cannot be returned, except where:

  • The product is faulty

  • We have made an error in production

Each case will be assessed individually. Refunds or replacements are issued at our discretion.

Custom wallpapers and WallArt are inspected before dispatch. If found faulty, they may be returned provided they are unused and in original packaging. If adhesive backing or transfer paper has been removed, we cannot accept returns unless a manufacturing defect is present.

8. Installation & Usage

We are not responsible for:

  • Incorrect installation of wallpapers, decals, or signage

  • Poor surface preparation or unsuitable environments

  • Reversed or rotated installations

Please consult our installation guides or hire a qualified tradesperson.

9. Pricing & Payment

Prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT (if applicable).

Prices may change without notice but will not affect confirmed orders.

We accept payment via secure payment gateways. Currency conversion is handled by your card provider.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, images, templates, designs, and documentation remain the property of Simon John Designs.

By submitting content for custom orders (e.g. logos, fonts, photography), you confirm that you hold the legal right to use those materials.

Unauthorised reproduction or redistribution of our designs is prohibited.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

We collect and use your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.

Your information is used to:

  • Fulfil your order

  • Contact you with service updates

  • Improve our services

Your data is never sold or shared outside of our business, except with necessary partners (e.g. delivery couriers).

12. Right to Cancel & Refuse Orders

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order for reasons including:

  • Unavailability of stock

  • Incomplete or unverifiable payment

  • Suspicion of fraud

  • Abuse of services or improper conduct

If an order is refused, a full refund will be issued.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Northern Ireland law:

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the product(s) purchased

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

14. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our control (e.g. natural disasters, postal delays, strikes, pandemics).

15. Amendments to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

Any changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of those changes.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland.

Disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.

17. Supplied Information & Customer Responsibility

For all custom-printed items — including but not limited to wedding stationery, memorial cards, signage, labels, and apparel — it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all text, images, dates, names, and other design content supplied is accurate, complete, and final at the time of approval.

We are not liable for:

  • Spelling, grammar, or factual errors provided by the customer

  • Incorrect names, dates, times, or addresses in supplied content

  • Errors in low-resolution, uneditable, or improperly formatted files

  • Late amendments once design has been approved or printing has commenced

Once final approval has been given (verbally or in writing), or payment has been made for print, no further changes can be accepted. If an error is discovered after production, the cost of reprinting is the customer’s responsibility.

If you are unsure about file quality or formatting, we strongly recommend contacting us before finalising your order to avoid any issues.

Simon John Designs reserves the right to refuse responsibility for mistakes arising from incorrect or incomplete customer-provided content.

18. Design Timescales & Project Timelines

At Simon John Designs, we work to reasonable and mutually agreed timelines for all design and print projects, including wedding stationery, signage, promotional materials, and branding work.

Upon project confirmation, we will provide an estimated timescale for completion based on:

  • Project scope and complexity

  • Customer response times and feedback

  • Studio workload and availability

Any changes or delays caused by the customer — such as late content submission, revision requests beyond scope, or extended feedback gaps — may impact the original timeline. In such cases:

  • A revised delivery schedule will be discussed and agreed

  • Additional charges may apply if extra design time or urgent turnaround is required

We will always aim to accommodate reasonable requests, but time-sensitive projects must be communicated clearly at the outset to avoid disruption or disappointment.

19. Deposits & Payment Terms

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all design or print services, including (but not limited to):

  • Wedding stationery

  • Business branding packages

  • Custom signage

  • Memorial card design

  • Event display materials

The remaining 50% balance is due before final files are released or before production/printing begins, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Payment of the deposit confirms your acceptance of these terms and secures your place in our design schedule. Delays in deposit payment may result in changes to delivery timelines.

Custom design work will not begin until the deposit is received.

Orders without a deposit may be cancelled or postponed at our discretion.
